Chinese New Year's eve at Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery

We have welcomed the Year of the Goat in the Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery in Toa Payoh. I wanted to follow the crowd to the city that evening, but then decided to opt for the nearest  Chinese temple, which I could not see at night otherwise, as it closes around 5 pm daily.
(See my earlier, detailed post of this monastery: here)

The temple was decorated with red lanterns and the chanting of prayers were filled the night.

Here are some picture of that special night:

Devotees were lighting candles and incenses in front of the Guan Yin Dian,
while other devotees are chanting prayers inside. Later they come out and take a walk together around the building.

Awesome architecture, with beautifully painted doors,
lighted lamps and lanterns at night

Lovely family selfie in front of the Mahavihara Hall :)
