8th-9th Day of Masi Magha Brahmotsavam Festival in Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple

Right after Maha Shivaratri, an another "grand festival(-Brahmotsavam)" started, called Masi Magha, which is a Tamil Hindu festival celebrated in the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple in Singapore for 10 days long.
It has started on 28th February and ends today, on 4th March, when the moon enters to the auspicious star of Magha. This period is the best to get rid of the negative things and for cleansing.  Magha is the star of power and leadership therefor this is the right time to bring our life into a healthy and firm direction. It is the correct time to purify ones mind and body to step to a new level. 

During the 10 days festival morning and evening prayers and chariot processions can be observed. Here are some pictures of the 8th day of the festival :









 

Sri Lakshmi Durgai Amman Puja:





On the 9th day evening, Sri Veeramakaliamman Silver Chariot Procession was held. I have followed the procession till the Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple.
