East Coast Park- Bedok Jetty

The very first place I lived for 9 month in Singapore, the best area of the city, close to the sea, surrounded by huge and wonderful coconut- and rain trees. East Coast Park, perfect place for enjoying nature, and indulge in sports. Here people do not mind to much about the climate and the heat. At home when the temperature gets high we escape into a shady shelter and nobody dares to think about jogging or doing any physical activities outdoor..Here the situation is different, people are strong and bear heat :D

This 185 hectares coastline stretches over 15 km. Suitable for other activities too like picnic, camping, there are barbeque pits, restaurants, cafes and so on. Endless fun for the whole family :)
The park divided into zones, we stayed near the C area, so one day I took a walk to the Bedok Jetty which can be found at the F zone. My pictures shows the facilities through my way. Hawker centre, extreme skate park, water-sports centre etc.

Waterski or wakeboard

Finally we arrived to the F zone which is seemingly a quite popular fishing ground. After we considered the so called "fishing etiquettes" happily can start the "hunt" :D
By the way, it is so Singaporean style, to provide instructions and informations on how to act in certain situations, like you can see warning boards through your way which reminds you not to forget to drink water while sporting..

Bedok Jetty initially was used by the Ministry of Defence for their military exercises before opened for the public.
